La Costa and Aviara, California are two stunning resort communities nestled within the greater community of Carlsbad in Southern California. They are located approximately 35 miles north of downtown San Diego. Younger children attend either the Encinitas Union School District or the San Marcos Unified School District while the San Dieguito Union High School District serves the high school students. Parents are proud of the award-winning Aviara schools. Younger children attend the Aviara Oaks Elementary and Middle School while Carlsbad High School serves the older set. There are also many fine private schools conveniently located throughout the area.
